| ECMSA Value Chain Project | ECMSA's Executive Council has been approaching many consultants to collaborate with ECMSA on an enduser value chain project as announced in January's In Touch Newsletter. In the meantime many consultants have sent in a proposal earlier in the year which have been followed up by the EC members with a strong support of Klaus Heinzelbecker (Advisory Board Member on behalf of BASF). With 4 consultants (Accenture, ATK, Booz and Roland Berger) meetings have taken place and the decision has been taken in between the EC together with Mr. Heinzelbecker to run 4 projects over this and next year. The following sequence and time frame is anticipated:
2009 (Kick-off May)- 2 parallel projects:
Collaborative Project with ATK and ECMSA on Cleantech (Solar, Wind, Biorefinery, Energy Storage)
Collaborative Project with Roland Berger and ECMSA on the Automotive industry
2010 (Kick-off April May) - 2 parallel projects:
Collaborative Project with Booz and ECMSA on Pharma/Healthcare
Collaborative Project with Accenture and ECMSA on FMCG (Food, Personal Care) – where it was mentioned in the case of food there would be a preference to look at the whole value chain including agriculture. If difficult the focus can lay on Personal Care.
All consultants will be supported by members of the Executive Coucil and the Advisory Board. We think these projects can be a breakthrough and become valuable Intellectual Property both for ECMSA and the Consultants. All consultants have informed us to take up most of the costs for their collaboration besides some expenses for the ECMSA account which are still under negotiation.
